Icons...

So when I first created my Dreamwidth account, I uploaded 6 icons, which I was planning to use here. Then, when I imported my lj to my Dreamwidth account, it brought my other 9 icons over too. I knew that 9 of my icons were going to be put down as Inactive, but had no clue which ones; I assumed it would be the ones that were imported.

Turns out, only one of my icons, my default, is one I'd put up here to use on a regular basis; the other 5 are very old. Is there a way to change my Inactive ones? I know the ability to do it multiple times would just give us a regular way to cheat the 6 icon rule, I'm not saying I want that. What I mean is a one-time thing to "fix" which icons we now have access to without deleting them completely. Because I'd prefer my old icons to actually show up on my old (ancient) posts and not change over to my default.

List of feeds

Is it possible to get a list of what feeds are already created? While DW is sorting out some of the kinks in getting them to not duplicate, it might be useful to see what's already in existence...

Searching for communities -- is that functionality up yet?

So I'm brand spanking new and I wanted to see if there were any established poetry communities before attempting to create one. I tried out the Interest search feature and I received this error:

Sorry, there was a problem.

Am I moving too far ahead for the platform by trying to do interest searches?

Style compatability with older browsers

Can anyone point me to some resources for making one's style play well with older browsers? Is there an open community that I've missed where it's appropriate to discuss style tips and tricks?

I'm using a Mixit-based theme that, I've been told, is unreadable in some older browsers. I'd like to continue using the style but I'd also like to make it easier for people to read what I post. (And here I want to express my thanks to the Dw folks for putting those style=mine links in the nav bar to facilitate just that.)

I'm a style n00b. Though I've played with CSS on websites, I'm still finding LJ-type style code seriously confusing.

un-customizing comment pages?

(Forgive me if the answer is obvious and I am dumb. I am frequently dumb.)

On LJ you can check a button to NOT display your comment pages in the customized fashion that comes with layouts these days. It then defaults to the general site scheme of white and blue and Verdana, and if you don't have custom comment pages you can then make EVERY comment page look that way by adding ?style=mine.

How does one replicate that effect here on DWth? I know it's possible since [staff profile] denise has it going - I see her comment pages (example) in my chosen site scheme (Celerity), but my own comment pages are displayed in Transmogrified. ?style=mine and ?format=light give me Transmogrified and, well, the light format. How can I make my style be just Celerity and apply that to other entries, because ow my eyes?

EDIT: Resolved! :D

Markup for formatting bio content on profiles

This is sort of a follow up to the post a while back by [personal profile] alittlebirdy

I wanted to ravamp my profile bio before importing entries, comments etc. into my DW account. However, I've found that table formatting via html (such as colors for backgrounds/borders) and even certain things like font-size gets ignored in div tags et all.

Is there anywhere we can find what markup would be accepted instead of having to test each line of HTML code? I've noticed that while other bugs with the bio seem to be assigned, this one doesn't seem to be listed and there doesn't look to be anyone working on it (unless I've missed it ^^)

I'd actually been hoping to have a bit of css as an option for bios but I'll take just getting the old markup to work instead XD
