Sure, no problem. If you're looking to change the header & sidebar (secondary), the code would be something like this:

#header {font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 0.8em;}
#secondary {font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 0.8em;}

But yes, no avoid Custom CSS.
