Thank you for this guide! I used it to add a custom mood theme to my journal and created my own guide that includes the exact image hosting site I used, for anyone who's not able to self-host their own images, as well as the exact way I went about it.
^ I also included a link to where some custom mood themes can be found, in case anyone needs help finding a cute theme.
Dreamwidth's image uploader makes it hard to do the find-and-replace bit since it doesn't retain the file name so I had to do some workarounds. Linking it here in case it helps anyone :D I hope you do not mind...!
