Do images also get redirected when using a rename token?
The FAQ entry about renaming a journal is very helpful to understand what happens and the options when renaming, but I'm not sure what happens to the image links?
Do image links also get redirected automatically ? Or do you need to update your old posts referencing those images, since the username is in the URL too??

It should redirect. (I emphasize the 'should' there because it's coded to redirect, but code does not always do what we want it to do.
Barring some weird issue, yes, the rename will auto-redirect.

Here's that entry: https://althea-valara.dreamwidth.org/1118627.html
It's public so you should have no problem seeing it.
If you mouse over the image posted in the entry, you'll see the link is pointing towards my old name (xnera). But when you click on the image, it brings up the image in the page with redirected name (althea-valara). So yes, it will redirect, but if you don't want people discovering your old name, you'll have to manually update links. Which is a pain, but I don't know any other way to do it.
