Reading comments on the same page

I use Firefox and installed the LJ add on long ago that allows me to open cuts and comments and make replies on the same screen I'm reading in. Is there anything like that for DW? Or is there any chance that it's in the works somewhere? I love that feature because I don't want to open a new tab for everything.

One thing that I love about LJ addons is the little menu bar that tells me when there's a new post on my flist and lets me open up to 50 new posts from my flist in new tabs with one click. I know that having an addon check my flist every minute is probably extremely resource intensive, but I love not having to click refresh myself whenever I think of it to find out if there's anything new on my flist.
