Layout problems

I'm currently using Transmogrified Basic for my layout. However, the various modules that used to be in the sidebar (Calendar, tag cloud, list of posts, etc) now appear at the foot of the page, even though I have gone through the Customize Style menu to make sure they are set to 'Sidebar'. Am I being really dim and missing some obvious factor why this isn't working?

I just switched from Transmogrified to Core 2 (header images!!! whee!), and now mine's doing the same thing. And I don't have any custom CSS at all.

ETA: In both Firefox and IE7--latest updates on both browsers.

That's normal for unadorned Core 2.

Ah, gotcha--I'd played with it awhile ago, and didn't remember that, but I know it's been changed a lot--or maybe I just missed that while playing. :D Thanks!
