viewing comment pages in site scheme

Is there a way to set DW so that comment pages show in the site scheme and not in my journal's style? I'm pretty sure I've seen it on a few journals, but I can't for the life of me find it in either customize style or manage account.

Currently, the option doesn't exist in customization wizard yet (the styles team are working hard to make all the options available!) so you'll have to do it by advance customizations. One way to do it:

1. Go to upgrade your account to Paid (it'll reset once open beta launches).
2. Go to Advance Customizations > Your Layers.
3. If you have Negatives, find Auto-generated Customizations under it & click edit. If you have Zesty, find Auto-generated Customizations under it & click edit.
4. Enter set use_journalstyle_entry_page=false; & click save & compile.

And you should see see your comment pages in the site scheme and not in your journal's style.

Thanks for explaining how to do this manually. I was going crazy trying to find the check box somewhere, especially as I had set this when I was still using Open ID. (Then Zesty didn't work so I had picked Negatives, and that had a box, so I was beginning to think I had hallucinated something! *g*)

If you're on Negatives, if you go to http://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/options.bml and click on the "Misc" link, it should be in there. I assume Zesty has it too, somewhere similar? I haven't looked. It wasn't there for Negatives until just recently, though.

I have Zesty and it looks like it's not up yet. But I got the answer. You have to do a bit of poking around in the advanced customizations, but it's doable. :)

No one in IRC seems to have any ideas on this one *g*, although if you turn custom comment pages off, you should be able to use ?style=mine to help? It might be worth suggesting this on bugzilla as a useful option - or waiting a few days, because when I was trying to answer this I noticed a whole load of changes in Customise Style, just since yesterday!

Hopefully someone with more ideas will turn up...
