X-posting questions

Firstly, I wish to say I'm fully in geek-awe of DW's x-posting tool. It's one of the many reason why I enjoy journaling over here.

Second, I have two questions which I hope some fine folks here could help me with.

1. Does anyone know if DW plans on utilizing the x-posting tool to sites such as Blogger and/or Wordpress? Simply curious.

2. Will DW plan to utilize x-posting TAGS along with the entries? Because now whenever I x-post to my LJ, I have to go into that entry and edit the tags as I am a huge lover of tagging vs. memories.

Thank you kindly.

You might want to open a support request about #2. It is supposed to include tags, and it works fine on my cross-posted entries!

Yes, they would like to, but, ATM, none of the developers has much experience with those tools, so it's not likely to happen any time soon.

There are clients that will post to multiple locations, but are rarely set to cross post. But they do plan, mid term, to make the site as useful as possible and emulate/improve on what they do.

FWIW, be careful with cross posting if you're doing so publicly—Google checks sites for duplicate content and will reduce PR for sites that look like mirrors, too many different blogs will mean no traffic.

Better in many ways to have a main blog, then link to it from all the others if that's what you're wanting. There is a plugin you can use for a Wordpress install that will check and pick up on feeds, that might be of use.
