RSS feeds of LJ posts
I've never created a feed, so please forgive cluelessness.
Can an RSS feed of an LJ comm somehow include the username of the person posting, or is it just the body of the post getting in?
I'm reading the
sga_noticeboard through
sga_noticeboard_feed. If I want to know who announced a fic there, I have to click through to the LJ entry to see their name. Can this be fixed in a feed, or do I ask the mods over there if anything can be done?

I know that there exists a suggestion that LJ add this capability, and either they already implemented it or they didn't; I'm trying to figure out which.
If they did, then there's nothing more to inquire about on LJ.
If they didn't, then it depends how old the suggestion is, and I'll be checking sooner or later anyway, because I run LJ suggestions. If it's more than 3 years old, it would then be time to re-suggest; if it's not, a comment in support will do, and then possibly a big-eyed look at DW devs.
Assuming they did implement it, it would then be time to talk to Dreamwidth Support and/or Dreamwidth Suggestions, to suggest/inquire about listing the username of the actual person posting, from feeds that include this information. (As a rule, "how do I...?" goes to Support, and "could we please ... ?" goes to suggestions.)
I think it's time to go find some fucking settings on my fucking browser. I remember making this setting and thinking it was an excellent one. NOW I WANT TO UNSET IT AND I CANNOT FIND THE MOTHERFUCKER, AND LO AM I FUCKING WRATHFUL.

Since the issue is already in LJ's developer bug tracking thing, there's no more you need to do on LJ's end; I have the access to comment to LJ's bug tracker to say that <lj:poster> tags are all well and good, but they're very non-standard.
The next step would then probably be Dreamwidth Suggestions, to suggest handling <lj:poster>, <author>, and <dc:creator> tags in Dreamwidth RSS feeds. (Unless someone DW-dev-shaped files a bug for it first, of course, which is also a possibility.)
