Bi-directional crossposting footer?

I have been using the crossposting footer at other sites, which allows linkage to the DW entry. What I wanted to ask is if there is a similar feature which allows the DW post to show the number of comments at, say, LJ? Is there a way to do this in both directions?

There's a patch that's been written to add the link to the crossposted entry on the remote site, but it hasn't been reviewed/committed yet. It might need a few more iterations, but it's definitely coming soon.

Yay! Don't suppose the LJ API supports comment numbers in any way yet?

No, and it's unlikely they'll add it, unfortunately.

I'm not positive, but I think that should be added with the next code push. (You'd have to ask in Support for exact details, sorry!)

Hi! I thought I'd ask here instead of making a new post because the context will hopefully make what I'm going to bring up more clear.

I've noticed in the entries on my reading page that the links to their crossposted entries on the remote sites are live, but those links are not showing up on my own DW entries. For example, this shows where the link should be for the twin entry on LJ, but the link itself is not showing up. When I'm viewing the entry in my style instead of the light style, moreover, there is no space for the crosspost notice at all.

Is this just a bug to do with the journal layout I'm using or is this feature still being rolled out?

Thanks in advance, and please let me know if I should direct my question elsewhere.
