I'm testing something on the IP address being displayed in comments thing, could I get 5 people who don't mind their IP addy being seen to comment here?


ETA: doesn't seem to be happening this time. Maybe related to Cesy's post two down from this. Or was a momentary glitch. Waiting to hear on Common Nature and Exercise Every Day, where it also happened yesterday.

No, that's normal, the poster of the entry, and mods, see the IP addresses.

TBH, I've never understood why people worry about it, tracking IP addresses of readers is one of the simplest things to do anyway (embed an image from a webserver you control is the easiest method), but then my approach to many things is completely different to many site users so...
