Formatting in comments

On LJ, I use a Firefox add-on (LiveJournal Add-ons) for my comments to posts that allows me to select text, then right-click for a menu that includes formats like italic, bold, link, etc.

Is there anything similar for use in Dreamwidth? Is anything planned? I know I'm lazy, but I get tired of typing in all those brackets.

If you use the Firefox add-on LJ Hook (found here), you can set it up to work on Dreamwidth as well and it'll do much the same thing. Once you have it installed, pull up a browser page, right click on the page (I usually do it on a dreamwidth page to check that it's working), select LJ Hook, select preferences, select Clones Manager, and just add in dreamwidth.org. That should do it. Hope this helps!

To make it work here:

Open LiveJournal Addons settings. Go to the Communication tab (the second from the right, with the envelope graphic). In the upper right corner, tick the "On all" ticky. (Or you could fill in the "External sites" box, but I haven't tried it that way.)
