Community subscriptions to feeds?

Hello,

I'm trying to subscribe a community I maintain to a blogger feed. The feed has been created and is fine, (http://creaky-geekery-feed.dreamwidth.org/) and I could subscribe to it with my personal account, no problem. Where I'm running into trouble is adding the feed to the community so it shows up on those pages as well. I searched the FAQ, but didn't see anything about it in the RSS feeds section. When I tried to add the feed like an ordinary member, that didn't work either, and one time I got a message about how a syndicated feed could not be added like a regular member. Is there a way to make this work, and I'm just blind and missed it?

Thanks!

I'm confused about what exactly you're trying to do (and why). Can you clarify?

Only personal and OpenID accounts can join or subscribe to a community.

Communities can't subscribe to anything. Their "reading pages" consist of entries made by members of the community.

Feed accounts don't interact with the site at all except to be subscribed to by personal or OpenID accounts. They only mirror articles from the source blog for two weeks, as a convenience for people who don't care to use an RSS reader.

The only way to delete a feed is to file a support request asking for it to be deleted. It's fine to just leave it alone, though. No one will mind. :)

This isn't the same as what you were trying to do, but it might be a decent work-around: would you want to leave the feed in existence and link to it from the community's profile page, so community members can choose to subscribe to it themselves?
