posting pictures

Okay, so I've gone over the FAQs relating to posting pictures, and I cannot figure out how to do it. I've tried using my Instagram account to no avail. I've googled 'how to import pictures on dreamwidth' and couldn't find a satisfactory answer.

So please, if you can, can you show me or list the steps (one by one) on how you post a picture on Dreamwidth?

If you want to host them on DW rather than linking you Instagram pictures:

1. Go to create, then upload images
2. Upload the images
3. Click on "view my images"
4. Copy-paste the code next to the photo into you entry.

DW is an old-fashioned social media from back in the day. :) Having all your photos managed from one place is actually a lot more flexible in a lot of ways, and makes it easy to do things like use the same photo in several posts. But it is a little different for people used to sites like Tumblr and Instagram.
