How to decrease logout frequency?

I keep on finding myself automatically logged out of Dreamwidth within 36 hours or so of logging in, which is mildly inconvenient.

Is there a setting that I can use to increase log-in duration? And if so, where do I find it?

Once you're logged in, it generally sticks unless your cookies get cleared or some other wildly technical thing happens. My logins last for a couple of weeks minimum. Problems are often because 1. you've set your browser to clear cookies when you close the program or 2. a third party add-on is causing trouble.

Are you using a login/username switcher add-on? If so, disable it, log in through the dreamwidth page (https://www.dreamwidth.org/login.bml) and make sure you've ticked the "remember me" box. See if your logouts keep happening without the add-on.

Here's the obvious one, just in case: there's a little "remember me" button under the login. Do you have that ticked?

If it's not that, and not something with your browser/add-ons/settings on your end like [personal profile] musyc mentioned, DW does occasionally have weird log-in bugs that only apply to a few people - try DW support at that point.
