Crossposting problems

I haven't seen anyone else saying they can't get crossposting to work. I can't figure out if I'm doing something wrong, as it seems to be a very simple procedure.

I have a different user name on livejournal, but I entered that name when I set up the account.

I've tried two different posts, one access only and one open to all, and both times got a crossposting failed notice. Checked livejournal to make sure, and the entries are not showing up there.

Anyone have any idea what I can do about this?

Have you checked the crossposting tag on the comm here? Might be some useful tips.

When you put your name and password in, did you put your LJ username (eg "erda") or the full name (eg "erda.livejournal.com")? You only need the actual username.

Thanks, but this wasn't the problem. Firefox had automatically entered my password,and since you can't see it, I didn't realize it was wrong. I went back and counted the letters in the password to check and it wasn't right. Now that I've hand entered the correct password it is working fine. Thanks for the suggestion, which may help someone else.
