Documentation

I'm pretty sure this is the wrong place to ask, but I'm not sure what the right place is, so I'm asking here and hoping to get pointed in the correct direction.

I would like to find the documentation on dw's xmlrpc interface, like lj has here: http://www.livejournal.com/doc/server/ljp.csp.xml-rpc.protocol.html so as to alter a script I use for posting to lj to work on dw. Specifically, there ought to be an option, (or more specifically, a key-pair) to x-post, so as to make x-posting from a client possible.

So, I've went and reviewed the cross poster meta bug, and it doesn't seem like XMLRPC is implemented yet for crossposting. I also think that the additional features need to get implemented before making an XMLRPC protocol, because they could affect the design of the protocol.

Maybe keep an eye on [site community profile] dw_dev?

It wouldn't have helped you--I did a search on XMLRPC and read though that bug, and no info! But I do remember people talking about it earlier in IRC, and they were talking about not implementing it at that time--after all, we were doing a big push for open beta, and we just didn't have the resources or time.

Yeah, Fey's right. There's no support for xposting via clients yet. We haven't yet updated the client protocol to really be that useful.

I'm hoping we can do so soon, but we'll probably emphasize industry standard protocols like Atom API or something instead of our own proprietary format, if we can. There will be noise in [site community profile] dw_dev when we start moving in that diretion!
