choosing icons?

Not sure if this is the place for this, but:

When I got an invite code, I played around with the paid features but then let it lapse once Open Beta started. (I would like to buy a paid account at some point in the future, though!)

When my account lapsed into a Basic Account, my five recently uploaded icons + my default became my six active icons, and the rest became inactive. Is there a way to... pick different icons to get locked into, or do I just have to keep deleting until the icons I'm into hit the bottom rung? (Icons are great for expressing how you feel when you're commenting, and right now all I can express are anger, anger, WTF, and sorrow. *g* At least, visually. :))

I don't know the answer to your question, but thanks for the chuckle. I've had days where your icon set would have been perfect, and in the right order, too.

Can't you just delete all and start over? It may take a bit to do the deleting but only a minute or two to re-upload six icons. (I'm surprised all your previously uploaded icons are still there. Do you *see* them but just can't use them? I've always had a paid LJ account w/extra icons so I don't know what typically happens when you lose those privileges.)

Yeah, all the icons are still there, just inactive. Which is really cool, because if I buy a paid account, I don't have to re-upload them! So... still deciding on what to do.

Sounds like it's the inherited behavior from LJ. I haven't heard of any way to change it, but it might be a good suggestion for dw_coolhunters.

If it helps, over at LJ the ones that were chosen by default were your default and the ones you had used most often ofter the last two months. So maybe if you start by deleting the ones you used most often you might be left with the ones you'd prefer? I'm not sure on that though.

Yep, I'm pretty sure DW kept the ones I used most often. Which is actually pretty cool! (Apparently, I used "WTF" and "angry" icons most often? ...sounds about right. :))
