Re-import Question

I recently learned that re-importing does not create duplicate entries, but will sync and update.

I imported during beta and have been crossposting ever since. Every once in a while, I customize crossposted entries on the other site.

So if syncing happens, will the customized posts lose their customization, would the DW post take on the customization or would they show up as separate posts because they are not identical?

I think I remember that the altered post shows up as a new post--but it's been a long time since I've done it, so my memory may be off. I can definitely say that the customized posts will not lose their customization on the other site, because importing only changes your Dreamwidth journal, not the other site.
