Remove Crossposted text

Is it possible to remove the crossposted text if you've decided you really don't want to crosspost every entry? I have several entries I'd like to delete from the LJ version of my journal but I don't see a way to remove the text that says the entry was crossposted - even when I uncheck the crosspost option and save again.

you mean the link that appears on your dreamwidth post that refers to the LJ post? if you go into your account settings and click on the other sites tab, you'll see a link in the 'Details' column. click that and then uncheck the ticky box next to 'Display Cross Post Links'. that field will no longer appear in your metadata.

it's an all or nothing thing, so none of your posts will feature a link for that account. if you only want to remove it for some entries then you can leave that option ticked and just delete the link on those particular entries individually.

hope this helps.

I'm speaking only from memory here, but try turning off the Display Cross Post Links option and then editing the entry on DW with crossposting enabled. That should remove the cross post link from the entry, and it won't come back unless you turn Display Cross Post Links back on and edit/crosspost the entry again.
