Remove Crossposted text

Is it possible to remove the crossposted text if you've decided you really don't want to crosspost every entry? I have several entries I'd like to delete from the LJ version of my journal but I don't see a way to remove the text that says the entry was crossposted - even when I uncheck the crosspost option and save again.

I tried that and it didn't work. And at this point I've already deleted the crossposting settings so I don't think there's anything else I can try. I found this old post - http://dw-suggestions.dreamwidth.org/576365.html - that brings up the same issue but I don't know that it was ever addressed officially.
