importing comments

Hi again,

Can you tell that LJ just messed up again? :-)

I just imported my journal, with comments. According to my profile page, I now have 27,374 comments (and I maybe had 20 before the import).

Um, where are they? They don't seem to be attached to the entries. Is this a "data is big, check back tomorrow" kind of thing, or did something go wrong? (The import page reports success.) Thanks!

The Support board at the moment has several dozen reports of comments not importing, so it looks to me like there's actually a bug. No idea whether it's DW's importer, or LJ, or just the whole thing being overloaded because, as you noticed, LJ messed up again and everybody is backing up or migrating. But I'll let you know if anyone posts an answer.

Thanks for the information! Close to 24 hours later and I still don't see them, so it sounds like something went wrong. (It got the entries pretty quickly, within about 10 minutes, for what that's worth. So if it's LJ being slow, it's selective slowness.)

I trust that there are ample reports of this and I don't need to add to the pile?

I'm having a problem importing comments too. I ran the importer yesterday and again just now, but my new comments on my x-posted to LJ entries are not being imported.
