Semagic
Hi, I hope its ok to ask this here, but I am using Semagic to post to DW and posting is working, and crossposting works fine too. But the "edit friends" section doesn't appear to be working. I know from the wiki that we can't retrieve custom groups through it, but should we be able to retrieve just a list of subscribers? Or is DW's code too different and the friend management through semagic is something just not able to be done? If I click "update from server" it appears to connect, send and recieve data (I do not get an error message at all and I can see the numbers showing it is transmiting data in the client dialogue box) but I'm not getting any results.
Its not a problem if it doesn't work at all. I just want to make sure I'm not just doing something wrong...

1. Within Semagic, switch to your Dreamwidth journal if you aren't already there.
2. Open Journal> View History
3. Select an older post which you know contains tags, and click the Edit button
4. If you haven't already set Semagic to Edit in Main Window, you'll get an editing popup window. If this happens, click on the little arrow button and select Edit in Main Window.
5. There should now be a box containing the tags from that post right below the "Picture to Use" box.
6. If the tags box is there, log out of Semagic.
7. When you log back in to Semagic, select your Dreamwidth identity from the login list, and then click Login.
You should now see the Tags box as normal. You should probably click the Update link just to be sure all your existing tags are available. If this didn't work, repeat the steps and choose a different older post. On one of my machines it worked the first time I did it, but the other one took two tries.
