Various posting methods central location?

Here's a question: We all know that there are various methods by which you can post to DW. Twitter, Crossposting, Semagic, Flickr, Importing into Facebook, post by e-mail, post by e-mail, etc.

Also, I'm sure it's not in the works yet, but what about auto music detection, scrobbling?

Is there one central location where one can get tips/tutorials on how to post through other methods than the web interface?

No sure about the rest, but it looks like the removed the last.fm detection on purpose and doesn't look like they're putting it back? I'm not staff, so don't take that as law. :)

I don't know of one place that describes all the posting methods, but here's a few

Semagic - [personal profile] kazbaby has great instructions for how to set it up to cross-post

Crossposting Faq

Here's the Post by E-Mail Help page. You set-up Post by E-mail in the Mobile Tab of the Manage Account Page

I use all three methods. I've been a devoted Semagic fan for years and it's still great. But I've ditched it in favor of crossposting from the DW update page.

*you can go back and edit all the entries at once if you find a mistake
*you can code it so that LJ users look like LJ users, DW users look like DW user, etc -- on every site.

The last.fm auto music detection will not be implemented in Dreamwidth.

In some cases, we've evaluated the features and decided that they don't fit what Dreamwidth wants to do, or don't fit our company's guiding principles. Examples of this include advertising, Snap.com graphical previews, Last.fm music auto-detection, and the ability for one user to flag another user's content for administrative review.
